For a little Friday Frivolity, check out this amusing video in which Microsoft unveils a new program-- WFYP-- We Feel Your Pain.
Reminiscent of the famous, and now prohibited, experiments by Yale psychologist Stanley Milgram (really, read this Wikipedia account) (get Milgram's book on the experiments, Obedience to Authority), Microsoft seats programmers in specially designed seats that deliver various punishments to the programmer for errors that he or she wrote into the Microsoft software.
So, when users (like you) encounter a bug while using Microsoft, and the operating system sends an error message to Microsoft to alert them, the offfending programmer feels your pain, literally.
Yes, it's a little sick and twisted. But so are you. :)
